Review: Treetops Executive Residences, Singapore.

Treetops Executive Residences was a fantastic find for a family based stay in Singapore.

Located at 7 Orange Grove Road, it lays just a few metres away from the junction of Orchard Road & Tanglin Road, both of which host an array of shops, restaurants & bus stops. The nearest bus stop which includes that of the hop on hop off sightseeing buses are only a 3 minute walk from the apartment.

Treetops itself offered a warm and friendly welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The residence also prides itself on its green & environmental policies and as soon as you enter the reception hall you can see the many awards it has been received.

When we arrived there was a beautiful display of lanterns & blossom in the lobby with gave a real ethnic welcome, I thought this was a permanent fixture however they took it down the day before we left so I can only assume it had only been out there for Chinese New Year, nevertheless for the time it was there it was spectacular.

We were personally shown to our room on arrival and our bags taken for us too. We were given a full tour of the room and all of its amenities, and shown how the cooker, washing machine etc worked There was also a welcome basket of essentials food supplies, tea, coffee, milk, orange juice, cereal, biscuits etc and a plate of fresh fruit too which was a really welcome addition.

Our room was spacious with a large king size bed in the main room and a smaller bed in the sitting area made up for my son. In the bathroom there was both a shower and good size bathtub.

Having a kitchenette is always an added benefit for longer stays and ours was clean & modern with a double hob, microwave, fridge freezer and washer dryer for laundry. Both washing powder and washing up liquid was supplied. In the basement was a larger laundry with bigger washing machines and separate tumble dryers.

On-site a free breakfast is also provided daily with cereals, hot foods & fresh fruits etc.

The swimming pool was enormous with two very small pools for children and a hot top area hidden in behind the waterfall.

We loved the pool but the only down side was that we did find in busier periods it was very hard to find a seat as they are only located each end of the pool and not all around it due to the layout.

Close to the pool there is a small play area though I have to say this is really only for pre-school aged children, my 7yr old lost interest in about 2 minutes as slide etc was so small.

Although we didn’t use them the hotel also offers a fairly well stocked gym, a tennis court and barbecue pits. There is also a business centre available.

We found Treetops to be the perfect place for a family friendly holiday, we loved every minute & truly felt at home. Neither my son or I wanted to leave at the end of the two days.

I would highly recommend a stay at Treetops, it is suitable for all age groups, families, couples, single travellers too.
